Well, sold the engine, made $400, so i bought stuff for the head work on the 2.3t.
Got bigger valves and some other stuff. Started to grind away at the combustion chambers to lower the compression. Going to port and polish too. Need to order more carbide bits to get everything done. Just used what i had lying around.

If so, are the pistons up to the task ?
What kind of compression are you looking for ?
Also, jus thinking and do not know but are there special pistons for supercharging that have better flame travel than OEM stuff ?
If not Supercharging what’s up with the lower compression ?

The t in the 2.3t stands for turbo. You must not have read the begining of the thread. I also explain that i'm using stock turbocoupe pistons and rods. THey are forged and good for about 450hp. They will keep up.
Shooting for a 8:1 or maybe a little higher compression ratio.
IDK what flame travel is, but this forged stuff is good enough. No need to spend $800 on new pistons and rods when these stockers can be had for cheap (mine was $40 at the u-pull it junkyard )

Good Luck with it waiting to see it all turns out.
The 4.6 would have been nice but work to install.
My 95 2.3L (Non-T) was a good peppy engine for its size, kind of miss it when thinking about MPG.

Probably be running the stock turbo that came off the svo's and early turbocoupe. Its a garrett T3. They are good for up to 300 or so rwhp which is what i want. Being all street (for the most part), i want a turbo that will spool up quickly. They seem to be the ticket!

just arrived home after driving my 94 2.3 regular cab xlt here.
all the way home i was wondering what it would be like to have a boost gauge and hear the turbo spool up on a back road straight stretch.
this is KILLIN me i am going to look on craigs list for a t-coupe
