The Budget Baja Build
#801
shortened up the brake lines last night to the proper length. bled them and took my buddy for a drive.
my locker made maybe 3-4 bangs, and is now not unlocking at all... so far, not too impressed! so ill be pulling the diff cover this weekend to see what the F went wrong and why shes jammed.
to do update.
New e-fan install and make shroud
becage build, mount 2.0 shocks and resi's and plate around shocks to have clean "finish"
rear tube bumper finish (still working on the idea for that)
paint bedsides (quoted $400 to do)
my install kit for the axle was ordered wrong, it was for a dana 35. so, im getting a credit back for it, towards my E-fan! cant argue with that, the e-fan will only be like $100 now.

buy one then! i love them.
Alright, this weekend was very busy, BUT, i managed to get a solid 10 hours into the bedcage. ----, this thing was a nightmare to make work, and im still not sure how well its gonna do, but its together, and it feels solid.
First up as designing it it and coming up with an idea. i want to add some gussets later down the road, but this should be just fine for the light use it will see this summer.
I did everything by eye and by hand, with a sawzall, angle grinder, zip disc, tape measure and flux core welder. getting some of these copes right was a royal PITA.
watching paint dry.
droop
and it still clears my tonneau cover! woo hoo!

i angled shock mount so that its paralel with the shock body at ride height. so no, they dont bind. if they hit the tires, or the bed itself under full bump i dont know yet and wont have time to find out.
