New! Full Coilover Conversion - Fox, Hypercoil, Brackets, 1" BL - WA
After much debate, I am selling my coilover conversion. I bought this last spring and just never installed it. Not going to keep the Ranger for too much longer so there's no point in installing it now. It's all brand new...never been installed. Heck, it's hardly been out of the box! **Will not fit a Superlift truck**
What's included:
Coilover Brackets - From the Forum Member here that builds them. Powdercoated black with stainless steel hardware.
Fox Coilovers Valved for 800lb springs (for the weight of aftermarket bumpers, armor, and a winch) I specified that my truck was a daily driver and slow trail runner. Not valved for high speed desert thrashing. Springs and revalves are relatively cheap if you want it changed.
1 set of Hypercoil 800lb springs
1 set of King 800lb springs (these were the springs I got first but the powdercoat was so chipped up that the company sent me the hypercoils as a replacement)
Wrench for adjusting coilovers
12 1" Body Lift Blocks from Summit Racing. PRA-BB01
All of this is brand new, never installed.
$700 shipped anywhere in the lower 48 states. That's a big discount over retail. I believe the coilovers were over $700 all by themselves.
PM's are fine, but a text message or phone call will get a quicker response. 541-399-2567.

Downsouth motorsports recommended this heavy of a spring for my 'planned mods' of bumper, winch, full skid plates, and rock rails. I would say that all of that would be more than the added heft of just the V8 and the front bumper. Most people don't fully realize how heavy armor actually is!
I wish I had better info for you other than 'close enough' or 'probably good'.

Correct. However, I think you can buy the extended lower coilover mounts for Superlifted trucks. Fox makes both. If you're handy (and careful) you can swap them out yourself. Or, you can have a shop do it for you. I can't remember if the superlifted trucks could run a longer travel shock...
EDIT** Not suitable for Superlift Trucks...see post below by Logan03CO.

If your Superlifted you need to run a longer travel coilover (6.5" versus 5") & spring (12" versus 10") combination.

So, no, these will not work on a Superlift Truck.

1. coilovers are better ride than torsion bars. Should be pretty obvious..
2. Ride height would have the potential to be a bit higher (your torsion bars are prolly a bit worn out and the included springs are pretty high strength so you would have some lift)
3. Why not search? There's a huge "coilover conversion" thread that is always posted in so you can't have missed it. Install is easy with a slight bit of welding. If you haven't removed a t-bar..it's pretty easy except for a few annoying stuck together joints and bolts.

What a lot of noob questions for a 1000 post non noob.

Because the 800lb springs he has are "too rough" for a stock ranger. He had them ordered cus he wanted to add a couple hundred pounds of front bumper/winch, whatever else....

2.5" in 10" is what you want to go with. On the coil over thread 700 or 750lb is recommended for a stock truck, I can't remember which though.

My guy recommended a 750 lb spring - but others seem to like the 600's.
I know the original RCD coilover suspension kit came with 600's (all of this is based off of that original kit). A couple people said they would 'sag' a little over time. Hence the 700's or 750's.
You are correct on the inside diameter & length for a stock setup.
The springs should only run about $60 a pop. Pretty cheap to change things out if you don't like how they ride.

Fox shocks can be revalved on your own....but it's not something you want to dive into without knowing exactly what your doing. They use a series of shims and depending on the pack that is used, you can change the compressions & rebound damping.
