I would really like to buy this engine ... too bad it's all the way on the West Coast.

It'll sure fit in your engine bay, but you would need everything touching the engine.
I want to replace my 3.0 with a 4.0 SOHC, but it's hard to find any threads on how to do it.

Easier to sell your 3.0 truck, and use that money plus the money you would spend on buying all the 4.0 stuff (engine, harness, etc.) and go out and buy a 4.0 ranger. Unless you can get the engine for free it's not worth it, that's why there's not a bunch of how to's on it. Either that or go with a 5.0

Well, I actually already tried that method once.
I might put it up for sale again ... I only owe $4700 on it, but the problem is that Indiana is a title holding state and most people don't want to wait for the title.
I also got a lot of tire kickers calling me and that was really annoying.
