2001 ext cab stepside Ranger 4x4 - $5600- OH
I've got a clean 2001 Ranger that I no longer drive, since I bought my F250
Its a 2001 Ranger
Extended cab 4 door
Stepside bed
4.0 SOHC
4x4
Automatic
Cruise control, power windows/locks
Remote start
102k miles
This truck runs great. I've driven it for the past year and a half, but I caught the fullsize bug. Its a great truck, VERY nice, very clean, and runs flawless. I keep up on the oil changes myself, running only Mobil 1 full synthetic oil with a Motorcraft filter. Within the past 10k miles I have replaced the front brake pads, lower balljoints, and tie rod ends. Those parts were all replaced with only quality made parts (MOOG balljoints, etc).
I hate to get rid of it, but I don't drive it at all.
It is a nice truck, very clean. I take a lot of pride in my vehicles, and I took good care of it. It was never beat on, etc. I'm the second owner of it, the first being an elderly man. He took excellent care of it, considering the truck was in great shape when I bought it. I can provide a carfax report to show it's clean history, and a Ford service report that lists any visit into a Ford dealership that the truck ever had.
I would like to get $5600 out of it
I would also consider a few partial trades
-late 80's - early 90's ford 4x4(f-series, Ranger, Bronco, Bronco 2, Explorer) - Something that would make a good winter truck so that I have 4wd, but can keep my Powerstroke out of the salt.
-flatbed gooseneck trailer.
Give me a call/text @ 419 571 3002 and I will answer any questions, etc.
Thanks for looking,
Freddie
This is a picture from this spring after I pulled my 33's off of it. The truck will be stock height, next friday I plan to remove the shackles and AAL's. The truck cleans up MUCH better than these pictures. I will try to snap some new pics this evening..

The 98 has a lot of sentimental value, not to mention its a cheap truck, much cheaper on insurance etc. It'll be the last of my vehicles to go if I ever am hard up for money. To sum it up, this green one, while it may need some work, is by far the cheapest of any vehicle I've ever owned regarding maintenance, etc. The only items its ever needed replaced are ones that I tore up when I was "young and dumb".

Just so you guys know your not going to find any cleaner 01+ 4X4 with this amount of miles cheaper, this truck was taken care of it wasn't beat on and the outside definitely shows it.
Its definitely a good truck from what I remember most of the miles before fred bought it were driven by an old man so they are definitely not hard miles on this truck.

I appreciate you vouching for me Mark..
Yeah, I bought it with 78k miles. I am "technically" the 3rd owner. An old man had it, passed away, and his son(in his 50's) inherited it, but sold it to me like 2 months after his father passed away.
I haven't beat on this truck. I wanted a nice clean truck to drive to work everyday, and I picked this one out. I have been making payments on it, and did not want to tear it up. This truck has NEVER been mudded or wheeled. I have driven around the farm with it before, but I never mudded it or took it down trails. It hasn't ever been beat up on or raced.
I had a guy look at it this past Sunday and he couldn't believe it was this clean for a 8 year old truck going on 9 years old. The truck was assembled in October 2000 so it is almost 9 years old.

Just a thought, if anybody has any 4wd ttb Rangers that might be interested in trading their truck and some money for this, let me know.
I still don't know what to do. This truck is too nice to be a dedicated winter truck.. my parents were considering buying it, but they don't seem too serious either. I'm not dying to get rid of it, just trying to figure out what I want to do this winter. I want to keep my Powerstroke out of the salt if possible.
