Well, my family is growing so it's time to sell the Ranger. I bought it new in 2003, and have fed it Mobil 1 since I got it. May need shocks, but that's about it. All the details are on my Craigslist ad. Let me know if you have any questions.

I had sorced almost everything that I needed for great prices, but then was not able to find an inexpensive source for a 4x4 standard transmission or the right output shaft for my transmission...and then work got REAL busy.
What do you still need? Maybe I could help. I think I have a Ford/Mazda/Mercury parts interchange chart around somewhere. I as going to use all Explorer/Mountaineer parts.

From the information I have, they are. They are not live axle, but thay do not have PVH. Instead, they have an axle disconnect on the passenger side of the front axle, like some Dana 30 front axles used to have. So I believe that if you want a live axle setup, you could use CVs and spindles from the early explorer/mountaineer, and then use any PVH/Live axle front axle, or you could use the early front axle and lock it in the engaged position OR just replace the drives side axle shaft.

The motor is in excellent shape, and I'd be more than happy to have a full inspection done by a mechanic (including compression and leak-down test) for any serious buyer.
99offroadrngr - No it is not. Wow, nothing better to do on a Saturday night than jack with a guy's classified thread by trying to dig up dirt in YEAR OLD THREADS? Sucks to be you.
