Parting the truck out...? (tx)
1999 4.0 5 Speed 4x4 Extended Cab.
I'm just looking for some interest in selling all the crap i can off the ranger and scrapping the rest..
I want $1000 for both axles, the fronts a D44 from a 78 F150, Yukon 5.13s, full spool, stock shafts, warn premiums, ruff stuff diff cover and I'll toss in my spare shafts too (one for each side).. The rear is a 9" fron an 85 F150, 5.13s and a posi, stock shafts and i have a spare shaft for that as well. I'll leave the traction bar brackets welded on.
$600 for 8 steelies and 6 35s.. all 8 steelies are 15x8 with a 5 on 5.5" bolt pattern, somewhere around 3" BS. 5 of the tires are MTZs, 2 are in good condition, the other 2 on the truck need to be replaced soon but can still work for a short amount of time. The other MTZ is just a spare, along with the MT/R mounted on the other wheel i have as a spare. The 4 wheels on the truck need to be sand blasted and repainted if you want them to look pretty.. their time buried in the lake took a lot of the paint off.
I can take the 2 spares off and sell just the set of wheels, or just the 2 spare 35s..
All the windows, $200 for the back door windows, they're the fixed ones, then $100 for the rear slider.. i have no idea what the ones in the front doors are worth. no windshield
T-case from a 93 Explorer, works fine in the ranger. $150
6cd, mp3 cd capable head unit from an 04? works perfect. $50
Airbags, black steering wheel, gray dash. Only 1-2 years old, i put new ones in after i got in a wreck.. $600
I got the fuel pump 6 months ago, $350 my cost from Ford.. $200
Brand new Valuecraft serp. belt i have had for a few months laying around as a spare. $10
RCD lift shackles - $50
Rear Leaf springs - $50
Then all the misc. crap anyone wants.. Fenders, doors, a/c compressor, pulleys, belt. parts of the cruise control.. idk
Disclaimer: No body panels are still straight. haha
all prices obo and shipping is on your dime.
andddd I'll get pics for anyone thats interested

manual.
idk yet.. I'm tossing the idea around. I have no idea where to start on the engine. i know i did blow the head gasket, maybe that "bars head gasket fix" **** is holding......for now. it doesn't like starting but once it does it seems to run fine. I haven't got a chance to take it up to speed though so idk.
The trans crossmember is ****ed, front suspension needs to be redone, steering, axles.. its just a lot of small stuff i don't want to deal with.
Kevan (badkarma) was trying to sell, or is still trying to sell his old truck, just the cab and frame no engine. If i can find somewhere to work i wouldn't mind building that up.. but right now im hardly making any money that goes into my pocket so its gonna be a while before i can really touch the ranger let alone fix it like it should be.
I'm tossing around the idea of wheelin it until the engine just dies all together and then parting it out.. the problem with that is it needs a clutch and slave if im gonna wheel much more soooooooooooo thats just more money. Not to mention all the time and money that would go into a cage i would need if i kept wheelin.
honestly my heads just a giant clusterfck right now with all the **** goin on so idk.

i haven't taken the front doors apart but its not too hard.. what all do you need, just the handle?

I'm probably only gonna go through with this if i can get buyers for the majority of it, especially the axles.
Stuff like the windows, air bags, interior pieces.. those are already off the truck.
yea, way too much to ship probably.. Had i posted this a few days ago Casey could have brought them back to Midland with him.
I'll even deliver.

thats gonna be another tricky one to ship.
if you put a pair of vice grips on the thing the motor originally twisted it is haha
hahaha
the wedges are still there to run radius arms. only thing is the knuckles are drilled out for a 3/4" bolt for the tie rod and their the cast wedges so w/o retubing it you cant really do a 3 link. I actually have a pair of RAs sitting in the garage with the frame end cut off.. just waiting to get extended

haha, Let me pull the 9" apart first and make sure nothing is wrong with it.
the t-case is manual if you consider climbing underneath with a pair of vice grips to shift it, a manual

it was electric but i have the motor sitting on a bench in my garage.. something electical decided to go hay-wire and I wasn't willing to take the time to figure it out. My current way is a ton more reliable and in some cases faster..
It doesn't bother me much. I'm either in 2wd or 4low. I drive it in 2wd till i get to a trail or offroad park.. put it in low and leave it for the weekend.
