That's how my dads 05 F150 was. I think all 06+ and some 04-05 Ford vehicles are setup that was with the fog lights. The Ford engineers were like "Maybe we should put all the light controls in the same spot!" duhhh

UPDATE for 9-22-10

I've done a little re-design to my wiring harness... pics to come.

It still works the same way & does the same function, but I've integrated the fuse holders into the wiring harness so there are a few less connections needed for the user.

Pricing:

- Basic kit, includes wiring harness, fuse holders, relay, fuses, wiring connectors $20.00 FREE shipping to the USA

- Deluxe kit, includes basic kit PLUS a fog switch $30.00 FREE shipping to the USA

- Buy either kit & I'll do my fog switch LED mod for just $5.00 per fog switch. Your choice of colors for my fog switch LED mod, mix or match: Red, Blue, Green or White

- Buy the Deluxe kit & I'll do my fog switch ON indicator mod (changes the little "dash" ON indicator from green) for just $8.00 per fog switch modded.

- Just want the fog switch ON indicator modded? I can do that too... It requires a permanent mod inside the switch body, so I have to mod a switch & send it to you. $15.00 per fog switch modded, FREE shipping in the USA. Choice of colors: Red, Green (brighter than stock), Blue or White.

Nice Work…
Thinking on a tri-sw setup.
The Cig Lighter is useless, might be a good idea too cut it out, need pics.

I didn't have my crimp connectors or wire taps with me, but they'll still be included.

Notice, there's no gigantic power cable?
I've designed this kit to connect to a 12v constant power source inside the cab (like the cig lighter power) to have less wiring running through the firewall.

It converts the OEM switch which normally grounds the OEM relay in the fuse/relay panel under the hood to allow a positive trigger to send 12v to the relay pin for aftermarket lights.
Basically it acts as a remote turn-on for the relay(s) that control the aftermarket fog lights.

I'll be getting the basic kit soon i just need to sell some more junk lol

for the LED mod on them, do you mod both the bulbs in each fog switch? like lets say blue for the main part where it shows the "fog" icon and then a different color for the little light that goes on when the lights are turned on when you push the button?

Good deal

I've got a couple kits made up now, I just need to put the crimp connectors in a bag & print out my instruction manual.

I can do both mods to the fog switches...
Here's some samples of the "ON" indicator mod I experimented with:

Disregard the use of defrost switches, I have a bunch of extras & I use them to experiment with instead of messing up fog switches.

That's a permanent mod that requires I open the switch & solder onto the contacts, rather than the "light bulb icon" mod which I mod OEM bulb holders so that it's a plug-n-play mod.

I've since re-engineered my kit so that the basic kit has all the fuses integrated into the harness.
The deluxe kit includes the basic kit AND a fog switch.
Any of my other LED mods aren't included in the base pricing, but I will discount the led mods with the purchase of a kit.

2011 PRICING UPDATES

The basic kit is still just $20.00 and the deluxe kit (with a fog switch) is still just $30.00.
Each kit will still include my detailed instruction manual & crimp connectors. If you need additional relays (for under the hood), crimp connectors, heat shrink, etc. I can provide them for a small fee

The "ON INDICATOR LED MOD" which includes an OEM switch will now be $20.00 shipped (discount is available with kit purchase)

The "Light Bulb Icon led mod" will now be $10.00 shipped USA

Sorry to have to raise the prices everyone, but the economy isn't getting any better & I need to make a little something

Two deluxe wiring kits (includes 2 fog switches) would be $60.00 plus the led mods, but I'll give a discount on the led mods whenever a wiring kit is purchased at the same time.
Drop me a PM for more info.

I have so much extra wire in the dash, in the radio section, I am not sure I want to do this.

Sounds like a great idea but I am still thinking.

also, the WIFE has said install what I have first, NO HOARDERS of Ranger Stuff.

Hoard - noun
Definition: A secret hoard of gold (Ranger Parts): cache, stockpile, stock, store, collection, supply, reserve, reservoir, fund, accumulation; informal stash.

Hoard - verb
they hoarded rations: stockpile, store, store up, stock up on, put aside, put by, lay by, lay up, set aside, stow away, buy up; cache, amass a wealth of Ranger Parts, collect, save, gather, garner, accumulate, squirrel away, put aside for a rainy day; informal stash away, salt away.

LoL… with me or at me.

HA!
I should be on that show "Hoarders".
I've got boxes & boxes of wire, parts, junk, you name it. I hate to throw that stuff out... as soon as I do, I'll need it for something... it never fails.

Tell me about it !
The wife is on my back all the time about all of the junk, I mean gold, in the garage.
They just don’t understand that the little piece of wire I throw out today can be used in a switch conversion tomorrow… LoL.

Ha!
I'm afraid it wouldn't look much better if I did it... mine looks like a rat's nest under my console. I'm usually in a rush to get it all stuffed back in there & I never get to tie everything up nice & neat... like I do when I make my fog switch wiring kits.
Everything is labeled & securely fastened, but it's messy by my standards ... ever notice I haven't posted any pics inside my console? I'm embarrassed for anyone to see that mess.
