One set and i love it... Im trying to find a nice set of ambers i can get next... I saw a 2010 VW CC the other night with factory LED Rear turn Signals and they were extreamly bright... Ive been poking around and cannot find the vendor or the bulb number for the LED VW bulb so if you hear anything let me know...

I want Ambers When you get em... I have sent an email a couple months ago to sylvania asking them about the different color L1224s and the person who answered back sayed that they have the other colors but are not DOT yet because they are trying to make them brighter so they will pass

It is perfectly legal. These are the same LEDs that OEMs use to put LEDs in the tails stock. This insures you they will not be dim like all all of the autozone style plugin LEDs. Don't be scared of these LEDs if you have been disappointed with LEDs before.

Thanks for your time and responses.
If this forum is half as good as the Buell forums I frequent than getting helpful and informative answers will be cake.

My thoughts exactly. After graduation I will also have a working knowledge of the vehicle code and then I will decide if I want to proceed with the mod.

I'm lazy so I didn't search it out, but do I have to permanently modify anything to make this work? I'm sometimes overly picky about things like that so I just want to know if I need to either have to cut any wires, or permanently modify the tail lights to make this work. Or is it just plug and play?

once again... because I'm lazy, what has to be done to the parts you send? I'm fine with modifying ancillary parts as long as I dont have to modify anything on the truck. I'm interested.

There's a how to that STL posted I believe... I have pics.. Lemme find them.
EDIT:
You cut the teeth looking thing off the plug he sends you, and dremel out the inside. You also dremel down the teeth on the L1224R bulb so it's smooth so the ring you just made can slide over the bulb. Adhere with some sort of plastic cement or silicone, which ever you prefer.

See Trevors thread:

The sockets I send you need to be cut in the center so they can be epoxied around the L1224R. This makes them fit in your stock tails so you don't need to modify the tails.

I just got a pair off another member on here. Is there any specific way to connect the wires off the L1224R harness? What wire is ground / signal / stop? The L1224R harness has grey/blue , grey/green, grey/red wires on it. Also, can I get replacement harnesses at an electrical store? (i.e. Radio Shack or online)
