For Sale: Full Length Console with Enclosed Sub & Amp (TX)
#29
have you heard it yet ?
if it sounds anything like the BOSE spare tire sub, which also houses a 6" woofer, then it wouldnt be too bad, but def dont expect mind blowing bass.
it will sound pretty good and give you some low end, but there will be no "oomph" to it.
I took the BOSE I have for my car, threw it on my truck amp (300w bridged) and it def had more bass than it does in the car with a 100w amp. but you could hear it straining if you turned the volume up much (anything more than 1/4 power and it was strained) so I wouldnt upgrade the amp unless its going to be a better amp with about the same power.
I also highly doubt your going to be able to get a bigger sub in there. maybe a 7" sub (rare, but Ive seen a couple)
all in all, these things are usually designed with specific dimensions, making any changes arent really recommended, and if your just looking for some low end sound and not bumping, mirror rattling bass, then this will do fine. but fair warning, if your any kind of audiophile, it will get old quick

you could be correct as Ive not heard the unit in this post, but was going by sub woofer size.
I know that 6' subs if powered right can hit decently. but certainly not as hard as an 8" sub powered right
I guess it depends on who designed it :)
there is also the difference between cab sizes. the BOSE tends to be used in a more open cab. that said, it did sound exactly like you stated, even in the cab of my ranger, nice deep bass, but never hit hard.
