FS: Complete 78 F250 Dana 44 front/Dana 60 Rear: $300; Ohio
Welp,
I had plans of solid axles swapping my 98, and bought these axles not to long ago. Buutttt..... the full-size bug bit me. I'm HOPING to pick up my new truck this weekend, if I can take care of a few things tomorrow first. I'm downsizing to 2 vehicles, the full-size, and the 98. I will be keeping the 98 2wd 4cylinder as of now, just to have something that gets good mileage daily. I would love to do a SAS some day, but for now, I need something that beats the MPG that the diesel will get.
The D44 is a 3/4 ton axle out of a 78 F250. It is complete, with the exception of one of the brake caliper mounts. The rotors could use cleaned up, but are reuseable. This axle is in great shape, and would need little replaced in order to be trail read. If it were me, i would clean up the rotors, put new seals and bearings in the axle, put new pads on it, and go to town. I have a hub for the hub that is missing in the picture.
The D60 is also a 78 F250 axle, though it is from a Snowfighter., so I believe it has a factory l/s in it, though the clutches probably need replaced. This axle was removed from a running truck just a few months ago. I haven't pulled the drums off, but I imagine it wouldn't hurt to replace the brake shoes and drums. This axle is also complete though, and wouldn't need any major work either to be trail ready.
I'd like what I paid for these axles, $300 picked up. I might be willing to meet part way, but probably only 2 hours max driving time, or halfway, whichever is less driving for me. I'd also like an extra $50 if I do meet within that 2 hour radius.

Yeah, I'm hoping somebody jumps on it, and fast! Lol. The guy who I bought the axles from had a D60 front axle complete from the same truck my D60 rear came from, he wanted 300 for the D44front and D60 rear or 1000 for the D60's lol

Ok let me know Cam.
There have been alot of flaky people emailing about them asking what my price is, or my bottom dollar. Then they ask if I want to part em out, etc.
There is 1 guy who does seem remotely serious, but I won't know until the 30-31 of May, when he said he might be available.
Just keep me posted Cameron
