Icon2 Which oil filter do you use?

Keeping up with the other oil threads got me curious as to who uses what oil filter. Whats the best? All the same? Easiest to remove?

Just a roll of toilet paper in a cut down 1 pound coffee can and JB weld it on there.
Change it once a year whether it needs it or not.

Yes, they actually did this in the old days. They used Charmin quite a bit too. It was ridiculous even then.

Anyways, I use K&N. It's probably overkill, but why not. There's a 1'' nut welded to the filter, so it's always easy to remove, and they claim the walls of the filter are thicker and more (rock resistant) Who knows. K&N filters have quite a bit more filter media in them than the cheapo filters.

I've always used Motorcraft, but they were out last time so I've currently got a Mobil 1 on there.

I use whatever is around at the time. I think right now I'm using a carquest brand (made by WIX) and usually I will use the Mopar filter since it's the same for our 3.7 and 2.4 turbo engine.

Love the K&N but i'm going to a Pure Power filter. $200 is a steep price for a filter but in the end it will pay for itself.

Filters and my experience

To tell you the truth I work at Autozone and got curious as to what is actually in the filters and as I only had a few to choose from, all were of a decent material but the Fram, Fram was made of just plain cardboard, not an actual filter material, and the Tough Guard/Extra Guard are the same thing as the standard fram, with the only difference being the Anti Drainback valve

Thanks
