ORW COIL-OVER CONVERSION BRACKETS
#154
As for the rear we have come up with a couple different options:
Deaver leaf springs
Beltech shackles
Add-a-leaf
and FOX shocks or Bilstein

I installed the kit yesterday and i love it, but i need new extended brake lines now and i can not find them anywhere. I have a 1999 ranger 3.0 so if anyone knows which lines to get i would appreciate it. Or, Nick if you guys sell them or know where that would be awesome!
thanks
thanks

Any late model super duty brake lines will bolt right up. They are twice as long as your stocker's are, and you can get up to 15" of travel out of them. If they are to long for your liking, make a loose loop with a ziptie and run the line though it.
Attach the ziptie to the frame away from the coil area to prevent the line from getting into the coils. New lines will run you $50.
Other option is to make your own, or go to a shop and have them made to your specs.
Moving the bracket would help, but won't give you travel like the longer lines will.

I'm not sure of the late model F-350 brake lines being the same, so I can't tell you that this for sure will work but I have seen some other discussions on this and it seems that this is all good information. We offer a stainless steel brake line kit for the 98-newer Rangers designed to replace the stock brake hoses with lift kits of 4-6". D.O.T. approved for $85.

i sent the guy from ORW an email last night after reading about this kit and asked him a few questions. but everything looks good and ive been wanting to find a way to get rid of the torsion bars for a while. plus ORW is right down the street from my house so im thinking im gonna take it in this week and have it done...if they can fit me in.
ive wanted a lift for a while now but im not huge on the drop bracket style lifts. i know this isnt a full on lift kit but if i can get the truck sitting level front and rear or maybe even slightly higher in the front without torsion bars id be happy. so we'll see what happens this week. this is going on a 01 4x4 edge. the suspension is stock, the rest of the truck has got some things done to it.

Like you mentioned it's technically not a lift kit, it can do the same function as cranking your t bars, and you can actually get a little more out of it too. If you're familiar with the wrench, you could do it yourself in a few hours, you would probably just want them to weld in the gussests. Other than that it's almost a straight bolt on kit.

It would be nice to get the specs on the shocks extended length/ collapsed length, valving weight( the front of an explorer/ sport trac weight about 2400 lbs) and spring rate for a 4" superlifted truck/explorer/sport trac

Another member has a write up too but he used RCD components. But the install is virtually the same as what ORW is offering. Member's name is MudSlanger and here's his thread:

yeah 800lbs springs. I like to run more spring on these 2.0 shocks then more valving because of how small of shock and diameter these are. Otherwise you will experience what we call shock fade much sooner.

There's a member name RangerNVS here that has a project log of his with a ton of detailed pics and the issues he ran into. Really good write up. Check it out:
