GJarret had 800lb springs, with that huge *** front bumper (on an explorer) and he said it was harsh for a couple thousand miles (or a couple couple thousand kilometers :P ) and then one day he realised that they had broken in to be just perfect. In my notes I have put down 800 lb springs for my truck as well. Gerald has/had a LOT of stuff on that truck, so if you dont, you might want to consider 750's.. but a lot of people said they felt too soft after awhile..

Yes, a 2.5" I.D. coil spring will work. And, if you have a Superlift, then you need a 12" long 2.5" I.D. coil spring with a 2.0" X 6.0" coil-over. Nick can answer what spring length you need if you have a stock suspension as I am not sure.

INH,
JGarret now says he spoke too soon. For a non lifted rig. He recommends the 12"x2.5"x750# springs over a 15"x2.0 shock. The 800# never broke in enough.

The OP has the info needed as well. Lots of "Experienced", "Time Tested", "Knowledgeable" Info on this thread. Not to slam anyone, but the guys who don't have much time on their kits really should listen to the more experienced Veterans who have got the miles, and time under their belts.

Mounts:
What angle degree for the upper mount?
What would be considered the perfect angle or location on the LCA?

After reading this thread, it has made me reconsider the coilover conversion. I was going to skip this and go straight for a SAS, but now, I'm leaning towards this. It's all your guys fault!
Our kit is provided with step by step detailed instructions. To answer your question about the gussets, they should be welded by a certified welder or at least by some one that knows what they are doing. The gussets are positioned when the shock installed to mark their location, making sure to leave enough clearance for the shock and the shock spanner wrench and then fully welded with the shock removed. As for the mounts they are located by existing holes and only require some drilling.

Nick, do you have any pics of this kit installed on a stock truck, or anyone else for that matter. Also I can't seem to get the kit to come up on the ORW website. Anyone have a link to it?

2.0" X 15.0" coil-over for a stock suspension? Maybe I don't understand what you mean, but I have a Superlift and used a 2.0" X 6.0".

Is this directed toward me? There's not many in this thread who have helped answer questions.

Sorry, 15" shock extended length is what I was referring to INH. He was reading a different thread from a different forum. Only he understood what I was talking about. Since INH is overseas in Iraq, in the Army, it was easier for me to just cut to the chase for him to understand instantly. Sorry for any confusion on this thread.

As far as directing that comment at you personally...............NO, it was not directed at you, but to any future person in general. I can see this thread going many pages. Wisdom comes from experience, and these fellows that have that wisdom should be given props for their knowledge.

Question for ORW (it was asked once in this thread but not answered):

Do you have any plans to fabricate/build lower A-arm drop brackets?

So the system is ajustable from 0"-2", 0" being equivelent to stock height with torsion bars cranked to even the front with the back, or 0" = stock height with front lower than the rear? I guess what I am getting at is this actually a 2" lift or just 2" to get the truck level front to back?

This kit is adjustable to level the front of the truck with the back equivalent to cranking the torsion bars. The major benefits to installing coil-overs is the adjustability and the difference in the performance on road and off road. The brackets can also be used on a SuperLift 3-4" kit as well to convert to coil-over's, as well as, gain some adjustable height but you will need to use a longer travel shock.
