Sorry everyone but if i had any ls series motor layin im my garage it would be in my truck regardless of who makes it. An ls2 would do more than triple the power made by a 3.0,4.0 OHV,or a 4.0 SOHC. My 3.0 makes like 150hp on a good day while that ls2 is pushin 400hp or even more depending if the motor is built...

I dont care if an LS swap cost $500, I still wouldnt do it.
And I actually laughed at the CAT diesel swap lol.
LS engines are great engines... for chevys. You wont see me putting a Hemi in my Ranger either
Ford engines go in Fords, Dodges in Dodges, and Chevys in Chevys. Thats my opinion. Except Cummins... No company owns Cummins so they can go in anything lol.
Im not sayin Chevys are pieces of sh*t either. I will just ALWAYS choose a Ford over a Chevy. Id also choose a Chevy over a Dodge. And at the same time, Id choose a Chevy over ANY import

And we didnt replace them at all. Took them back to the dealership and the dealer replaced them. So they were OEM chevy parts, not off the wall O Reilly cheap-os.

You know, International started that VTEC thing after the original IDI.
Wait, I think. Or was it Volvo?
Anywhoo. I currently drive, well other than the Ranger, a 1968 Chevy C10. Just over 600K, one motor in it's life time. The only reason for that was it needed a 350 treatment. The six wasn't cutting the mustard.
So Chevy>You.
Cheap parts you get from Advance don't count towards how reliable a certain manufacturers vehicle is.
Prime example, replaced master cylinders on both the Chebby and Fowd. Both the same brand, started leaking out of the piston within six months. Hello lifetime warranty.
As for a V10 in a Ranger, a sbf or sbc can yield better numbers, more than likely cheaper.
Not worth the fab work IMO.
I'd stick with my 302. One day I'll LS a First Gen.

No such thing as a good sounding 4 banger.
And I already said she didnt get cheap parts from a parts store. She took it back to the dealership and they put OEM parts on it. So it was Chevy parts wearing out. Again.
I dont care if itd be cheaper to put a sbc or sbf in it. Everyone has a sbf Ranger. Its boing anymore. Heck, Summit sells a kit now! And, again, youll never see a sbc in any Ford vehicle I ever drive. I dont care ow much more power and mpg ill get with a chevy motor, it aint happenin

This kid makes the absolute most retarded posts. This thread is retarded, as well as him. It's the typical "omg I want to/am going to/wish I could swap *insert unrealistic motor here* into my Ford Ranger". You're not doing **** so just stop talking. You seem to think you're like some master fabricator or something since you put some ****ty junkyard looking "ram air" **** on your truck. You were in the AWD 5.0 thread acting like the guy should listen to what you say and all this crap. No one cared before, and still no one cares. Just stop.
