Super Duty OHC... would it work??

I like the idea. I had the same thought on the sunroof switch as well, use it for something else (lights, second battery switch, trunk monkey). I can't think of a reason why it wouldn't work without the sensor for mpg's. All you would really have to do is figure the pinout of the wire harness and go from there.

Here's the one I'm talking about...
Hmmm....I kinda like it! The only area of concern by just me looking at pictures....is how wide it is. I think there may be a possibility of the visors hitting the OHC...but again...idk w/o messing with one.
I don't know the answer about the mpg/directionals, but I assume it would work perfectly fine if just the directionals were wired up. Just like wiring a stereo....don't have a motorized antenna? don't wire that wire to anything.

IMO, after reviewing the superduty shop manual, it will work.
The ambient air temp sensor is under the radiator shroud, behind the right side air deflector. In fact, I think its the same as the explorers.
Wire it up. The compass is internal to the circuitry. You have to set it up manually. Hold down two buttons and treat it like an explorer's OHC (var, cal, etc)
I just don't know what it will display for your mpg, err, or some weird number.
Only thing is, does it fit the roof right?

My friends Ram has a thing that computes your driving and the fule left and tells you how man miles you have left out of the gas in your tank on his OHC! I WANT IT! That thing was so ****in awesome. No more guessing about how much gas you have left.
Side note, if I fill up when my gas light comes on right away, I can throw about 14.5 gals in there. Now why in the **** does the light come on when you have 5 damn gals left???
