radio Bezel

Ok so i'v been thinking.... most of you don't know but i'm in to plastic models my whole family is and my dad runs a hobby shop in mississippi....anyway i was thinking since my radio bezel is plastic and has already been sanded down and i ned to repaint it.....how do you think i should go about filling in the lighter plug in it.....i hav not intentions to smoke...and i'm thinking of putting me a power switch for my amp in it's place but first i need to fill the whole sand it down get it smooth and paint it and then instal the switch has anybody ever done this b4? i take it it's just like filling holes in a model take some plaster.and some cardboard cut the cardboard to fit the hole plaster over the board sand it down prep and paint..... i'm just thinking out loud anybody think that this'l work?

I would use plastic body filler for model cars or possibly bondo. The plaster wont hold up.

thats what i was talking about probally useing bondo cause it's easy to work with
