Inside the drivers door jam theres a sticker with info about the truck, theres one that says "axle" and its got two numbers or one letter and a number code saying what it is. Go look at your truck and see what it says, then we can see what gears you have in your rear end.
Ok...so sticker says axle- R7
I know I have 4.10 limited slip axle

Oh sweet you're good then, lift it and put on 33's. I bet you can find 3" lift spindles all over for cheap too since you're in SoCal.

But...but...I don't think I wanna lift it

Really though...I'm already gettin 14-16 mpg I can't imagine that gettin any worse. I don't know if I want to jump to get into my truck everyday.
And...once I lift it than what?....

Here's torsion bars all the way un-cranked

And now with lowering keys

I'd say there is a difference

and a comparison between stock keys and lowering keys

They are still crap. They will eventually wear your ball joints out just like lifting keys.

lol your going to go as low as a stock height xlt with coil springs maybe an inch lower?

I wouldnt waste the time save your money sell the truck and buy one with coil sprung suspension and do it the right way.

I wouldnt want a static drop with a edge/torsion bar truck frame with how huge the engine crossmember is..

Youll never get this low with an edge unless you spend a fortune, even with air bags you wont go as low as a 5/7 on a coil sprung truck..

I looked and I'm probably wrong but... it looks like their bolted from underneath not screwed in from behind. I know the Ranger badge on the front fender has a huge hole behind it and their on both sides.

I don't really want to pay for something else to than go and work on.
And my pops buys and sells a lil bit from the auctions... so my truck was out of commission I could just drive whatever he's trying to sell.

I vote lowered, but again not that truck. You would be better off trading that one in for a 3rd gen (dream beams! ) or 4th gen (god damn control arms! )

Can't wait to see pics either way!!
