http://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/c...utm_medium=cse

super perfect width. completely weather tight.

really considering getting rid of my slim kobalt box lol. I HATE hauling my quad with the tailgate down and these are strong enough to easily set the front tires on top

I'm guessing you nay-sayers will point out the locking issue lol.BUT there are a few companies out there that make locking brackets for ammo cans.

tie down would be a moot point with my rubber bed mat. the box weighs 70lbs and I figure I have about 100lbs of equipment.Nobody will want to run off with that hahahaha

It looks like it would be a PITA to use as a truck box.

If a steppie the box may not sit flush to the bottom of the bed.

Other than that, “small" is the only word I can think of.

If it fits what you need and the truck then do it.

it's not secured as of right now but i'm gonna run L brackets off of the bed bolts and bolt the box in that way.just to be safe lol. not only for theft but on the off chance i gotta lock the brakes up!

honestly for the $140 shipped it WAYYYYY more solid than anything more traditional. i weigh 200 lbs and i jumped on it a bit and it didn't give at all!

About the seal....haha. its not just a strip of foam like a regular tool box would have. The small ammo cans have a skinny rubber gasket to seal it up. This thing has a 1/2" gasket ! Seals up tight enough that there's actually a pressure release valve for altitude changes :D

Grev I'll get pics of the brackets for the extender sometime today for ya!

And for paint....

I'm at LEAST lining the inside with some spray on liner, maybe the outside as well. Or I might do winter camo just for giggles lol :)

It will be getting paint of some sort though. I'm thinking if I got pulled over having a box with explosives warnings and what not might end up with 4 or 5 more cops and a bomb squad lmao
