Id get some like the ones in the link above they have those and 06 style smoked or regular there pretty good quality mine have been in two years and still look new. And the light looks right they almost look like it could have been a factory option

 

I'm new here, so am I to understand that 06+ tails would fit on my 01? I want to update my tails also, just seeing what would look good.

 

06+ tail lights will fit on your 01.

 

These are the best option for someone with a 93-99 Ranger that has the 3-bulb tails and doesn't want to modify the wiring for 06's. The "93-00" version of these lamps has a plug for the running lights, a plug for the signals, and a bulb socket for the backup lights.
