For Sale: Colorado: Lifted 1996 Ford Bronco
#1
Colorado: Lifted 1996 Ford Bronco
1996 Eddie Bauer Bronco
Original 5.8/351 with 142k miles
Original E40D
Black/Tan Eddie Bauer Combo. Paint is still in pretty good shape, for its age. By no means is it perfect, but it cleans up real well. With a good claybar/wax/polish...it could be even better. If it doesn't sell, I will be doing this come spring.
A little history...my dad bought this truck brand new from a dealer here in Colorado, back in 95. It had less then 10 miles on it. He had a work van he drove daily, and my mom drove this truck back and forth to work daily...a total round trip of less then 6 miles. The old man kept this truck is prestine shape, and it was garaged most of its life (even threw most of my college career, since I lived at home 3 out of the 5 years). The miles were low when I got it. I took it over my freshmen year of college, and did ALL the modifications to it. However, not all the mods will be going with the truck.
On a scale from 1-10, the interior of this truck is 7.5. Its overall pretty good.
2-2.5 inch lift consisting of Skyjacker leveling coils in the front and a Skyjacker add a leaf in the back. Stock brackets, brake lines, and shocks.
33x12.50 BFG AT's with roughly 20k miles on them. I recently put a set of new 15x8 Eagle 100 series (black) wheels with 3.75 inch backspacking. Now, if someone else locally is interested in trading for a set of stock F150/Bronco wheels and tires that are in decent shape +CASH, send me a PM. We will have to play it by year, and see what happens. If I keep the truck, I will not sell the wheels/tires. At this point, I will NOT SEPARATE!!!!! So don't ask. I'm looking for an easy trade plus cash.
Truck has professionally installed window tint. 5% on the back window, and back side windows, and 20% on the front side windows/vent window. It looks great.
Maglite is mounted to passenger side A pillar, and will stay there considering if I took it down, there would be two holes in the A pillar.
4 new 4-way Pioneer speakers that sound great.
Cat back Flowmaster exhaust. Stock cats were replaced with one high flow, single 2.5 inch pipe into an Original 40 Flowmaster, 2.5 inch dual out to (I think) 3.5 inch tips at a 45 degree angle exiting behind the rear tire. Professionally installed. It sounds great.
Warn Manual locking hubs, that replaced the old auto hubs.
Niteshaded tail lights
No engine modifications done to this truck.
Now for the Bad:
1. I've been told by a few shops that the Upper and Lower ball joints are bad, and need to be replaced. I can't afford to let a shop replace these, and haven't had time to do it on my own. I work 6 days a week, and have no garage. Due to this issue, the outside of the front tires are not wearing evenly, but they aren't wearing too bad.
2. It leaks antifreeze/coolant. I believe its coming from the waterpump, which isn't a difficult fix. It doesn't leak bad, just a few drops once in awhile.
3. Brakes are a bit squeaky. Still stop the truck fine. I put new front pads on the truck less then 6 months ago, and also had the rotors turned. However, I can tell the brakes are going to need some attention this summer.
4. The front seat is in below average shape. Typical tears from getting in and out. Along with the drivers side arm wrest. Back seat and passenger seat are in perfect condition.
Thats all I can think of at the moment.
Things on the truck that AREN'T included in the sale are:
Uniden CB radio, coax or firestick
Subs
Amp
Panasonic Deck
Im asking 5K or best reasonable offer. Here are the most recent pictures, taken last month after the new wheels were put on.
