wildtrak 3.0 finally after 2-1/2 years fixed
just thought id share this experiance of finally getting my wildtrak running properly,
i changed the fuel/air/oil filter over 2- years ago (and since) and it never ran properly after that ,not so bad that you couldn t use it ,but not right!
i kept looking at it , checking the hoses ,the filter seals but couldn t get to the bottom of it ,it ran well enough for me not to bother untill i did a trip up to scotland towing my caravan , it ran rough but i got there ok but on the way back it started couging and spluttering a few time especially under load , i got it back home and decided time to sort it , ive got a few mechanic mates who gave me hints to what they thought it was ,air leaks ,seals, injectors, maf, and propshaft ,
so one sunday morning propshaft off but all joints ok so i greased all nipples while off , id already done maf probe, fuel filter and air filter again so a quick view on you tube for ford ranger and straight to a guy that listed my issues and suggested map sensor ,
not too bad to get to took it off and blow me caked in crap , after cleaning it and the manifold apature fitted it back and what.
difference smooth as silk , like driving a new truck , something ill keep an eye on for the future , but a big thanks to you -tube

Unfortunately we are in North America so could never get your T6 Rangers here, ours were smaller and 1983 to 2011, and no Diesels 1986 and up

We did start to get the larger size T6 Rangers in 2019 but only with 2.3l petrol engine
