Old Ford Guy (Clem)

Old Ford Guy (Clem)
I have been cruising around here for a while now and decided I should introduce myself.
To begin with I have been a Ford guy all my life, my dad was a mechanic in the good old days when high wages were $2.45 an hour. I doubt many, if any can remember that far back. (A loaf of bread cost 5 cents and a gallon of milk was 15 to 20 cents)
So that makes me older than most who frequent this site, as well as others I visit.
I started the small Ford thing with an '86 Bronco II, (which you will hear me refer to from time to time) it is now a work in progress as it hasn't run in 6+ years and is giving me fits trying to get it started, it has 242000 on the odometer and if it doesn't run soon there will be an Explorer for parts in my back yard soon. 4.0 is the way to go now.
I have my 5th Ranger now, a white 02 XLT 4x4 5 spd stick, all stock accept for the Jet chip that went into it at 36084 miles, it now has 126000 and is still running great.
The other Rangers I have owned include 2 89' both with 2.9's, one auto 2 wheel drive, one manual 4x4, a 92 ext cab 2.9 4x4 and a 97 4x4 with 4.0 5 spd manual that was pretty badly abused before i bought it in 98 for $500. I had most of these trucks less then 2 years before selling them, the 98 sold 4 months and $600 later for a very good profit.
I will probably keep my 02 & B II for the rest of my years, who knows.
Any way that is pretty much what I am here for.
