Yeah, damn police for actually going to a domestic disturbance.
**** happens, dude. Just because the cop hit him doesn't mean he did it on purpose, or that he should be ridiculed for it. IT'S A DAMN ACCIDENT!
Welcome to the forums. Nice Ranger you got there. And I'll be the first to say that I like your old truck too. Too bad about the accident, but at least you still got another truck.

The officer should take majority of fault due to the fact there's a statute that says hes suppose to yield at all intersections (especially when his light just turned red).. but there's also one that says no matter what I'm suppose to yield to them with lights/siren on... even though I can't see or hear him I'm screwed with taking atleast some fault... Everybody that saw the accident and heard about it including my brother who is a Dane County Sheriff thinks its bull they would even try to put a majority of the blame on me... Its all still up in the air they aren't accepting liability and neither is my insurance... it may take months or even over a year.
I don't give a damn anymore... I just want to move on and hope I don't have a lasting injury thats been hidden so far... My insurance paid X amount on my old truck and we don't get gap insurance, so I'm a little bit upside down (which was added to the new loan) but oh well what can you do... I'd also like to add the Sgt came down and did the accident investigation and said "don't worrie we have good insurance" and was very nice and comforting and that I did not receive a ticket... I also found out later the officer that hit me said he was "disappointed in himself for letting this happen".. keep in mind I do not hold anything against the police.. I know its their insurance that are being douche bags and will try everything to spend as little as they can weather they ruin peoples lives or not...
It truly is a great "welcome to life son" moment when your minding your own business following traffic as your suppose to... somebody runs a red light and T-bones your driver side door at 35+ and flips you off a curb (which would have put me in the hospital for a long long time had I been in the 97 corolla I sometimes drive).. and they then try to put the majority of blame on you and to top it off you also have to lose your baby you spent countless amount of money on and hand washed weekly.. go upside down on your loan.. and probably pay an extra 200-250 every 6months in insurance. But its taking it with a grain of salt and moving on that makes us a better person..
The guy who sold me the Ranger was a younger guy named Matt... again nice to see another Madtowner here..

Welcome Tony.
Glad you're moving on from that accident -
I was recently in an accident as a really young driver that completely wasn't my fault. The cops showed up and handled the situation miserably - which made me realize that cops are just people too. Thankfully, there are many many good cops out there. I've just had a few experiences with the ones who are a little rough around the edges. I think it's really cool you're not blaming the police for this one, as I bet it is the insurance like you said.
Anyway, I completely agree with you on getting that frontend conversion done. I really like your new ride and it looks like you had some real good times with that Chevy.
