I am from Saint Louis, Missouri. I own a 1995 Mazda B2300, which is technically a fancy ranger. I bought this truck for $400 from a man who didn't take care of any of his vehicles. This truck needs lots of work and I have lots of questions I wanted to post and hopefully get some answers on them too.
1. This question is about the fuel system. I have noticed when I fill up on gas that the pump doesn't shut off. It will keep pumping and gas will deal out from the top of the tank. I don't know that an inertia switch is, but I feel like it has something to do with that.
2. Every time I drive this truck, once it gets up to temp, if it kill it on accident or turn it off briefly to talk with someone it's won't start back up. It will crank but won't turn over. Has been a real struggle for me because I'm learning how to drive a manual transmission vehicle. If I cycle the key to build up fuel pressure it sometimes works sometime it doesn't. It's very spontaneous and aggravating because it happens at the most inconvenient time for me ever! I'll be getting food at the drive-thru and I turn off my truck because there's no exhaust on the truck. Once I turn it off to order I try to fire it back up and it wouldn't start. It's so intermittent that my car friends can't find the problem.
Hoping to get these answered. If not at least point me in the right direction where to go/ what to do next.

The "Inertia Switch" has nothing to do with filling the tank.

It's a safety switch to turn off your trucks fuel pump in case of an accident, you don't want your fuel pump to keep pumping gas in case of a fire.

I have noticed when I fill up on gas that the pump doesn't shut off. It will keep pumping and gas will deal out from the top of the tank

Out the top of the tank ? or out of the filler where you put the nozzle ?

If it's out of the top of the tank, you have a broken filler tube or hose where it connects to the tank, (BIG FIRE HAZARD) get it fixed before you and your truck go up in flames.
That would also explain why the pump at the gas station continues to pump when full.

Every time I drive this truck, once it gets up to temp, if it kill it on accident or turn it off briefly to talk with someone it's won't start back up
Possibly leaking fuel injector(s), next time it happens, turn the key to RUN, push the gas pedal to the floor and hold it, while holding pedal to the floor try starting it.
