New to the fourm
Hey everybody! I just got my license last week and it's been awesome! I drive a completely stock 04 ranger xlt 4.0 in green. I love the truck to death and will hopefully be doing a few modifications. I expect to do aftermarket rims and halo lights and maybe a cat-back exhaust if I have the money. I live in Massachusetts also. If anyone has any suggestions on what are the best brands for halos than that would be great!

x2. Function over form first.
If you want halo headlights, I'll sell you mine with the HIDs. A couple of the small LEDs went out awhile back, but you can barely see them anyway. PM me if you're interested. Pics are in my albums.

Definitely the most important part of owning a vehicle.
Also, when it does come to repairs, DO NOT buy the cheapest of everything. If you take care of your truck, she'll take care of you! Also be sure to have a couple hundred dollars set aside just in case and then save up for your lights/rims/tires. Trust me, you're gonna want to buy so much for it that its not funny
And of course, welcome to R-F (and the roadway)

I was about to buy a new car this year for school but I just couldn't bear the thought of leaving my truck in the driveway. Just because its old doesn't mean that its not worth sticking money into. (older vehicles are a lot easier and cheaper than new ones) But, hey, do whatever. Enjoy the Ranger while you have it!

You can't be getting worse gas mileage than me and I also live in MA but mine is lifted 5" on 33" mud terrains lol. I'm getting close to 20mpg on average (19.6 to be exact).
I'd do a full tune up and get some MPG back. plugs, wires, air filter, fuel filter, oil change (dont use FRAM filters)
My truck is also an 04 and i guess "old" with 89k miles but a few people have thought its new which is funny
