i saw your route, you dont want to go plymouth. its too far out of the way. i think we will meet somewhere around 94 and 131 further up. ill find a different spot.

Hmmm...Im trying to decide. Do I pick up a $50 aluminum topper off CL for the meet and sleep in that or do I buy a new tent? It will be just me, so I dont have to worry about another person.

if it where me, I would not want a topper on my truck going across the dunes.

I would buy a tent to sleep in.

If you can afford it buy the topper to haul your stuff in....we could take it off before we head out to the dunes.

I can fit all my crap in the bed and the cab. I camp pretty light. I have a tent but its pretty small. Yeah I guess a cap and flex would be bad wouldn't it.

yeah I know but I would be warmer and I wouldnt have to worry about leaks if it rains.

When the meet is over I would probably cut it up and bring it to the scrap yard. They are on CL for $50 all the time around here.

Ive had bad luck with tents. I had one collapse on me in a rain storm in the middle of the night once. that sucked, but made a great story. I rode out a tornado that was a mile away in a tent once. I really wish I could take the tent trailer but im pretty sure that it would not make it there and back in one piece. I dont mind tents if its nice out, it just seems when rain is added into the mix I seem to have bad luck.

Do we have a area of the campground we are all going to camp? I am going to reserve my spot later this week.

Forget the cap if your only buying it for this trip.

Buy a nice tent, it won't leak. at least none of our have.

There is electrical hook up, so bring a extension cord and a small heater if you want too.

I have brought my heater a few times and never used it.

Edit:
Check out the map a couple pages back...it shows all the spots and where we all our at.

True and Grant drove like a idiot....but his was also a quality top and he had it secured nicely.

I see tail gates laying in the sand too and most don't take them off.
