Don't ask me. I thought the guy at Autozone was F'n with me when I went to buy plugs and wires. If I remember right the drivers side isn't bad but the passenger side is a PITA. Or the other way around.

 

That's weird I have never seen a 2.3L in a ranger before just a tempo it only had 4 plugs though

 

i think they changed over in 89 for the ranger 2.3

i dunno about the other cars

 

I went to Autozone.com and looked up plugs for a '95 with a 2.3. I circled where is says 2 plugs per cylinder.

Actually it was an "emissions" thing. Second plug was used to burn any unused fuel in the exhaust port on it's way out the head. Doesn't do a thing for power, and if it was me, I would probably never change the second set.

 

For some reason I think it is a Mitsubishi motor.

 

How do u know which one was the emissions plug?

 

? Why? Same motor Ford has been using since the 70's just a new head to meet emissions restrictions.

The plug on the exhaust side of the head, it goes into the exhaust port.

What a crappy day I woke up this morning with my eyes watering really bad. Thought it was just allergies. I am at work everyone keeps saying man whats wrong with you.

Then they ask me if I had been drinking or something else. Leave work go to company doctor of course have to take a **** test comes up clean. turns out I got pink eye they thought maybe I had something in my eye from yesterday.

Which I told them no cause why would both eyes be red. Plus they didn't hurt just kinda itch
