***PLEASE READ VERY CAREFULLY***

I have reserved 8 rooms at the Baymont Inn in Knoxville. Its 5 mins or less from the park. Its where we stayed last yr for those that dont know. That weekend is the Tenn/Ga football game!!! The rooms last yr were $60 a night. THIS YR BECAUSE OF THE GAME THEY'RE $238 AND SOME CHANGE TOTAL PER ROOM FOR THE WHOLE WEEKEND!!!!! I have reserved the rooms under my name and YOU have to call and RESERVE YOUR OWN ROOM that is under my name. IF i do NOT fill these rooms 2 WEEKS PRIOR to meet i will cancel remaining rooms and you are on your own and good luck!! ALL ROOMS ARE QUEEN DOUBLE!!! It did not matter on single room or whatever on the price, THERE ALL that much for that weekend!! There are a few other hotel's in that lil area and i checked and they're all the same price. If you need a roomie to split the costs get one, I wanted to let everyone know because all the hotels in that area will fill up fast because of the football game so NOW IS THE TIME TO START RESERVING ROOMS!!! Like i said above IF i do not fill these room 2 weeks prior i will cancel non filled rooms. Aslo this is why im postin this thread IF we need more rooms i need to know soon so i can reserve them ASAP!! These rooms are reserved for the 9th and 10th checkin out on sun @ noon......

Wow. That is a lot.. Still looking for a roomie. but i might be just driving up there on sturday. and then driving home sturday night!!! If i cant find a roomie....

anywhere close by we can pitch a tent?...park even maybe..screw that on the hotel...thats outrageous

Yeah, Im not going to be able to spend two nights, that is way to expensive!!!. I'll be up there on Sat morning, Steven you still looking for a roomie for Sat night?? I'm willing to share a room.

They don't allow camping in the park, but I'll check some other places. I believe there are some that are not too far from the park, maybe 10 - 15 minutes. I'll check tomorrow, and let you know.

screw it. move the meet to a more affordable weekend.

yeah if i do end up going(which i really want to) i'd be more down for camping then spending that much on a hotel lol

 

Well i'll go ahead and ask the question who is up for movin the meet to the weekend before? I know alot of people have already requested that weekend off from work and what not so this is just a question.

 

The weekend before sounds good to me. Either way I'm coming, it just might limit my time I'll be spending in Knoxville. Steven, so we are good to go on the room?

i may have read that wroung lol but 230 something a night are is that for two nights just checking. if we can get the hotel cheaper the weekend before then thats fine with me. if not lets just stick with the weekend we alredy have planed for. eather way im probley going to need a roomie.

Hey i'm game for coming to this meet but not for 230 a room lol i'm for moving a weekend ahead and i'd still be interested in a roomie

 

OK guys i done some looking in to the room. first off i started on hotels.com by their site its 79.96 a night same as what i payed for a room in march. then went to the baymont inn site and looked at rates and their the same. thats for the 9-11 oct. now i also checked the rates of the rooms for the week before and its the same price. so we arnt saving any money by moving the meet to the week before. just a fyi

$238.xx / 2 != 79.96

I would suggest that maybe their website and hotels.com is not up-to-date

I just wanted to update everyone! I have absoultley busted my hump on this hotel thing!!! i stopped by there this last mon and talked the lady and she told me that sept 25-27 was a non football weekend!! so i called today to move reservations and found out that it is!! so i talked to hotel mangr and he agreed under the circumstance to drop the price from $114 a night to $79 a night!! thats only $20 more than the orig. $59 a night. AND just so ya'll know i did this for all ya'll!! im gettin my room for free because of travel points so it didnt matter if it was a $1000 a night...lol!!! Look fwd to seein everyone and i did get all the reservations pushed back to sept 25-27 too,and as far i as know there are 5 rooms left available!! SOO hotel situation is handled now gotta get spot at the park reserved....lol!!!!
