I'm trying to fit in a CB for the truck and there not really any place to put it except where those cupholders are under the radio. Does anyone know hot to remove them?

under the inserts in the cupholders I believe Don't quote me that there are some screws. Here is what I did. Just make sure you bolt it in good. Those screws that come with the mounts aren't enough.

inside the cupholder part, take out the little rubber insert parts, under those will be two things that you will need to insert a flathead screwdriver in and twist, the pull it out, under that will be a bracket

The metal plate thats under the cupholders is a cover for the hole where the shifter in a manual transmission would be. You could probably pull it out and hit it with black or grey spray paint depending on your carpeting color. I dont think it would look to bad and it would make a very sturdy mount for your CB.

oh thats towards the back of the cup holder, the front part is a 8"x8"ish metal cover plate. When I put in my full console I used that plate to run wires through it.

The metal plat on mine is for the ABS, but mine is 2WD so I am sure it is different in your trucks. Post pics of the new install.
