LED night from Nowhere

not sure if you guys have ever been in the newer style Dodge Caravans, but there is a light that shines down inbetween the front two seats... its very very very faint green.. just enough to barely see...
(havent looked hard) but you cant really tell where it originates at...

its really nice at night cuz' you can see the cup holders and stuff like that... anyhow id like to do something like that.. i am thinking of putting them above the HVAC controls... 2 small green LEDs and i could scrap them alittle with sandpaper so it would difuse the light....

My mom used to have a BMW that had those. They are very helpful, and cool looking!

You should put in a OHC and put the lights on that. That'd be pretty suave.

Not in the OHC. They would be above your eyes and distracting. But I think 2 LEDS mounted below the HVAC or to the bottom of the airbag switch would be a pretty nice addition.

I've been wanting to do this for awhile now, and throw a couple into the actual cup holders.

My wife has an Acura that has a blue LED shining down from the OHC by the sunroof. It looks great at night and, like you said, it helps see everything. Good luck with it and post some pics when you get done.

i have 16 LED's mounted all the way around my cab, it was one of my first mods. from underneath my dash all the way around the seats, it lights up blue, and then my pedals light up. you wont need to scuff up the lens, they will work just fine, i would actually want it either facing down or forward. if you look at my led's from the level that they are mounted, they are not just distracting but blinding...

No, it works nicely. It's not distracting. Just rough them up a little with sand paper and it will light up your dash and console nicely.

Okay My Mom and Dad bought new cars at the same time. Mom=2006 Acura TL Dad=2005 Nissan Titan. My Moms TL had 2 blue LED's above the rear view mirror. They are very convienient. But My Dad's truck didnt have them and he liked then. So... He put then in his truck. In the same spot. But since the Acura is made with them, its made to deflect light. His however dont. But he used the ulta brights. They are bright enough to light up the cab so that you can see at night. But not bright enough for you to see them from outside. But they are very clean. I have alluminated flooring in my truck. But and thinging about putting them up there as well.

My 92 Trans Am had them, they are mounted in the rear-view mirror... A simple swap of mirrors, and simple wiring should do the trick...
