Explorer Full Length Center Console Question

Well I picked up a full length center console from the junkyard yesterday and I will be attempting install this weekend. The only problem I encountered was the back two brackets on the floor were riveted AND welded to the floor. I had was expecting the rivets, but the welds I was not. Needless to say I did not get the two brackets. If I align the front and screw that into the dash I think i get some self tapping screws and screw them in the back to hold it down, but I am not sure if it will work or not. Has anyone else installed the console without the brackets? I searched and I could not find much on the subject, so I figured I would ask before I went tearing everything apart. Thanks

Did you get the bracket in the middle?

The back bracket has the arm rest sit on it.

I don't know where you would attach it at in the middle then to hold it in place.

well i ran out and looked at the console and it looks like I can just sink 2 self tapping screws through the holes in the bracket on the console. If not the front and the very back should be enough. My seats will hold it in there as well, so I guess I will just have to play around and see what works best.

What bracket on the console are you referring too? My console is held in by the pins in the front and 2 self tapping screws in the bracket in the middle of the console. Works fine.

well it is not really a bracket. It is the metal piece that screws into the bracket on the floor. I will just screw it in to the floor instead of the bracket that is supposed to be there on the floor.
