explorer console project

another thing to add to all my ongoing projects haha the console will be painted black. im waiting for some SEM paint to come in which i special ordered at advance auto.

tan full-length console. left side has a crack which i'll be fixing tonight. I kicked it off on the front and it cracked. Wouldn't come off so i forced it off.

the vinyl on the lid to the console was torn in two spots so i already re-wrapped it in black pleather, double layered just like it came from the factory.

testing the lid (you can see the damage i did to it when i kicked it lmao)

apart and ready to cut two pieces to replace the ripped tan vinyl on the lid

done

I need to go get a new cupholder section for it because the one on it is covered in sticky junk and its not worth the time trying to remove it, i already tried for a bit

Get the brake fluid out again.
Or paint thinner if you have it.

haha i know, that was the plan though. paying for insurance on two vehicles, truck payment, and college loans, there would be no way to buy anything moderately quick so id rather do this since i have free storage at my uncles. he'll have 3 more KM2's (i have two, need 3 because im going to run a full size spare) coming to him when i get my tax returns haha

I'd rather have the one without the ashtray, but im sure you could use the ash tray to hide some switches and junk.

I like the ashtray console, I'm gonna use it for hiding switches. I'm considering hiding a train horn switch with a small PSI gauge.

Great now I have to put the explorer console in my truck. By the way Arnold Palmer is the best drink ever invented. It's the only thing I drink.
