Bench console lid question

I have the 2005 60/40 bench. The console lid appears to hold things. Nothing in the manual, but I suspect a map holder since that is the only thing I found that fits pretty good. Then there is that "paper clip" symbol. What is that about?!? So, how do you guys use yours? Here is a pic: Console lid

It sure doesn't hold paperclips! It is just a raised hole in front of the supposed map pocket that drops anything in it straight down to the bottom hole where things fall out! I know it is such a little thing, I just found it humorous that Fold put a paper clip emblem on it. I guess it could act AS a paperclip in a funny way. Just curious if anyone else wasted time on this as I have!
