60/40 to bucket...what size center console??

Just looking to see what size and which expo (or other vehicle) to pull from, I need something to clear my shifter and I'd rather not have to fab something up-leaving it as a last resort.

Also, what expo can I pull buckets from? Same generation as mine? I just need something better than what I have now (dusty, old, cig burns..)

Get a shorty. Otherwise you will need to find a 5 speed explorer or do a little work for the shifter.

There's a sticky on another forum that I used when I did my swap...

oops... posting the link didn't work... Google for "Seats that fit in the Ranger" (use the quotation marks), and you'll find it.

BTW, If you have a regular cab, you MAY need seat tracks from a 93-96 supercab (from buckets or 60/40 bench - same tracks)... You may also have to swap the seatbelt sliders.

Explorer seats and a shorty console (get EVERYTHNG from the floorpan up) bolted directly into my 96 supercab, but I needed to swap the seatbelt sliders. I also had to use sheetmetal screws to hold the rear console support pillar to the floorpan.

I still have the seat tracks from my 96 60/40 bench, and would happily trade the pair for a spare tire. I'm near Durham, NC.

I would first swap in your seats and then take measurements. I put Honda buckets in mine (a lot of fabrication work) and then because I am cheap, put in a center console from Walmart.

Put in the seats you want and then go from there.

Thanks, and I have a super cab.

Also, I'm not picky about the seats, just anything better than I have now
