04+ 60/40 Seat Cup Holder on an 01

I just bought one of these from 99offroadrngr. Has anybody ever put one on a 03 and down Ranger seat? The curvature of the cup holder seems to work well, but I don't feel any holes like the new trucks have to bolt the cup holder on.

The seats that cup holder goes to has a bracket underneath the cloth with holes to support the cup and screws. You will have to make a bracket or find another way to mount that on but it may be tough

Dang that stinks. If I can't get this one to work, do any of the other Rangers that are older than mine have any kind of cup holder like that?

I just used two screws, I didn't know there was a bracket.

The screws I used are the rounded top kind w/a star or robertsons hole.

You sure the holes weren't already there? They should be since yours is a 08. All the 60/40 seats from 04+ came this way...with the holes already there. The two screws you used with the star top are the factory screws that come with the cup holder.

As far as mounting them to the seat of an 03...I'm not sure how you'd do that. Without that bracket, the cup holders wouldn't have much support. I'd say your best bet is to search for bucket seats with a full length center console, or try and find some 04+ 60/40's

Alright thanks for the info. I'm going to pull the seat out today and look under it and see if there isn't anything there that is hard that I can attach it too. If so I'll just drill through the seat just like the 04+ do. If not I may look for a shorty console or different options.

Yea, the holes were there. I just grabbed a couple from home hardware and found the right pitch. They are sticking out enought that there is tension on them and they squeeze the cup holder to the bench. It has worked well for the last 2 years.

^that might have to be my route. Cause there is some heavy plastic under the seat just behind where that cup holder would mount up to. I could use some longer, more lag type screws to get it to stay there. And just make some tiny little holes in the seat cover for the screws to make it to the plastic and I'll be golden. I hope lol...
