wiring signal mirrors to turn signals

wiring signal mirrors to turn signals

i bought a set of L.E.D mirrors off ebay and they have one set of lights that come on with the parking/headlights and i have those wired up. but i was wondering what wires to hook up the turn signal part of the mirror to anything would be great

There's more than one way to do it but this is probably easiest:

LH mirror hot wire to fuse 7 in the dash fuse panel (yellow wire)
RH mirror hot wire to fuse 3 in the dash fuse panel (dark green wire)

You can get to the wires by pulling the fuse panel out a little. Be sure to disconnect the battery negative cable first.

i was told wiring them like that that they would not blink when i used the turn signals. would they work like that or is there another way to wire them up so they blink with the turn signals

They would blink with the signals and also come on with the brake lights.

If you want them to blink with the signals only, you can go to the harness on the left of the steering column:

LH mirror hot to light green/white wire
RH mirror hot to white/light blue wire

The fuse panel is on the side of the dash on the driver's side. Open your driver's door and look on the side of the dash. It's behind a little clip-in panel.
