So it cranks fine but won't start?
Try disconnecting a vacuum line and shoot some carb cleaner and see if it will start and run for as long as you spray it.
If it runs you may have a fuel problem, if it doesn't you may have an ignition problem.
Easy place to start before going on.

All oils and fluids are good. Check engine light is on when key is on. I'm thinking its a fuel problem but I'm still goin through the check list to narrow it down. Also yesterday I noticed alot of ticking that I'v never heard before in a certain rpm range if that helps. Thanks for the input so far.

Ok, i reset the switch and it starts. What would have caused this to go wrong though? And any idea on the ticking sound? Thanks everyone who helped, not ranger lol.

The same thing happened to my truck. The switch can just go bad, i have read extreme cold came make the go bad, off roading can make them go bad. It will keep tripping at least it did in my truck. I took it to the dealer they replaced the switch and it has been fine so far. The ticking could be that the truck was still running without fuel causing a lean mixture hence the ticking.

It may have just been a glitch but if you dont feel comfortable and are still under warranty you might see if Ford will replace it.
