Wouldn't be much of an "anti-theft system"(PATS) if it could be by-passed.
There are a few options for keys though.
You can get "blank" PATS keys and have them cut and "cloned" using your Working PATS key.
Each PATS key has an embedded RFID tag in the handle, each tag has a unique ID number.
When you turn on the key the PATS sends an RF(radio frequency) burst which gives the RFID tag enough power to respond with it's unique ID number.
That number is compared to the list of 3 ID numbers programmed in at the factory for the 3 keys that came with new vehicle.
If match is found then PATS turns on starter motor relay, fuel pump and fuel injectors for starting.
So what you need is a spare key that has a matching ID number, or you need to add new key IDs to the List in PATS memory.
Most locksmiths can add PATS keys to the list, and have better prices than Ford.
And most can cut and Clone a spare key from your current working key, which costs less.
A clone key starts off with no ID number, the locksmith "reads" the ID number off the working key, same as PATS does, and then Clones that number to the new "blank" key and cuts it to match working key.
So PATS thinks it is just the same key no matter which one you use.
And then you could put working PATS key under plastic steering column cover near the key slot and use non-PATS keys to start truck, PATS key would always be there so any key would work
