strange- shifting easier after emission test? computer problem?
Normally my truck shifts really hard throughout all the gears, and it goes into drive and reverse especially hard. After I got it tested for emissions, and passed, it somehow started shifting like it should; nice and smooth. But of course after the vehicle is turned off, and then back on, it starts shifting hard again. All the emission tester/worker did was test my gas cap, and plugged their machine into the OBDII and everything was good to go.
Could it be a computer problem? I'm not getting any engine lights or codes from it, though.
Oh and my truck has been in the shop for the past month and a half, and the battery was disconnected for almost the whole time, until about a week ago. Will the computer have to relearn stuff? Cause I'm not getting as good gas mileage as I was before the truck went in to the shop.
