Speedo cable replacement

Hey, just did a search but didnt find anything. So, i found that the reason my speedo isn't working, the cable was disconnected from where it goes into the transfer case. There is another cable next to it and attached, assuming its the tach. So do i need to buy a whole new cable because the end that connects to the little plastic gear is done? Or can i get it back in and together? Thanks!

83-94's all have cable driven speedometers.

you should be able to get a new cable from any ford dealership.
