not if he is swapping in a gauge that has more miles than he actually does on his truck........he said he is putting in a gauge that has 140k miles in his truck that has 81k miles on it....

Not if the milage is adjusted to the original milage from the truck... If my truck is at 50,000 and I have a cluster that reads 100,000 I can turn it back to 50,000. Some staes it is illegal to have a cluster that does not read the true vehicle milages.

^yea... most places when they service your truck record the millage and log it... so your going to come back as odometer fraud if you take it in anywhere

Have you tested if it works yet? You may have just broken the odometer. Each number must be pulled apart to be able to turn properly. There are little wings that connect each one together and they can break very easily. You have to take out the odometer and pull the gears off the end so you can spin them freely.
