parking brake light stuck on

I have a similar problem.
I recently redid my entire rear brakes because I had a leaky rear wheel cylinder. I redid shoes, drums, hardware and cylinders. I bled my brakes and topped up the fluid. It stops amazing now.
Problem is...the ebrake light doesnt want to go out. I have no leaks, my front brakes are just fine (recently done), and my switch passes the continuity test (switch closed = light on (beep) and switch open = light off (no beep)...Maybe adjust the ebrake cable?
Any ideas?

Mines doing that now. From what I have been told you replace the ebrake assembly.. So that's what I am going to be doing this weekend.

The parking brake assembly has a spring that is located near the parking brake pedal.
If that spring is broken, that could be one reason why the parking brake pedal does not return to the 'UP' position when you release the parking brake.
You can get just the spring on eBay. Stealership only sells the complete parking brake assembly ($$$$).

Although the thread is old, I am now having this issue as well. When I pull the parking brake lever, the light does not turn off. When I pull the lever and then push on the parking brake pedal manually to almost assist it to the top, the light turns off. Could it be Low brake fluid? Loose cable? Worn spring? It can't e the switch if it turns off when I tug it manually right?

The parking brake pedal should come up to the top of travel when its released, if its not then that's the issue
Look under the truck on the outside of the frame under drivers door and see if the parking brake cable is loose and its spring is in good condition
Parking brake setups changed over the years, picture of one setup seen here: https://i.pinimg.com/originals/8e/6d...6ba6b77a87.jpg
If the cable is loose then it won't pull the pedal back up all the way, there may be an adjustment on the cable, if not then you can get a new cable or use one of these: https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.ran...371d08a89b.jpg
It tightens a loose(stretched) cable

No, not the switch if you can lift pedal manually to shut Brake Light off
