ODBI connector location?

ODBI connector location?

i got an 89 ranger xlt, where is my ODBI connection, it supposedly has one, and im not talking the ODBII since thats 96+

You don't have one as such. Prior to OBD II it was different for each vehicle. SOMEWHERE around here I have a book that details the locations for older vehicles.

Like John said, it could be just about anywhere but I would look under the hood on the driver's side first. Look for a connector shaped like the ones in this link.

You might check up under the dash where the floor vent is for the heating...
If its not under the hood.

It is more than likely on the passenger side fenderwell. Thats where it is on my bro's 86.
