Icon13 The mysterious noise....

While detailing the inside of the truck the other day, I kept hearing this noise down near the OBD II port.... Not sure what it may be, but it honestly scared the **** out of me... I haven't heard it since, but it almost sounds like an ancient computer's hard drive... IIRC, I didn't get anything wet (damp by my degreaser, maybe, but I definitely wasn't spraying it into the OBD II port)...
Any ideas??? the truck runs/starts/drives fine, and as said before, I haven't heard it since
I have attached a picture of the place where I think it was coming from... and a video so you can hear the sound

Sounds like you've got an early 90's printer jammed up under your dashboard.
it was a one time thing you say? Then don't worry about it.

It sounds like a relay going berserk. Like its getting power on and off really fast. Next time it does this put your finger on that BLUE flasher relay and see if you can feel vibrations from it, or at least that click feel.

Try using your turn signals and hazard lights and see if they work properly.

Yeah the flashers and signals was the first thing I checked... at first i was like "oh damn its my OHC wires shorting out or something" but after a while, when i didn't see any smoke, I knew it probably wasn't that...

Did it sound like it was coming from the flasher relay though?

I was watching the video, waiting for a receipt to pop out of my computer.

No jk. If it was a one time deal, then I wouldnt worry about it.

well if something electrical does screw up with it, it would be just my luck because the warranty just ran out lol.
Haven't heard it since... when it was making the noise, I couldn't feel any vibrations from that relay you were speaking of... I tried to feel for where it was coming from but couldn't figure it out for sure
