my windshield wipers wont work i need help

i have a 2000 ranger 3.0l 4x4, for a while i would put new fuses in and when i would hit a small bump my stereo would flash off and my windshield wipers would stop working, ans now whenever i put a new fuse in and turn my truck on the fuse blows.

i need help cause i dont know if its a loose ground or what, and its suppose to rain all week and i have no windshield wipers

A loose ground does not normally cause a fuse to blow. Which fuse #s have you been replacing?

sounds like a short circut somewhere...because with your radio flashing and then not turning on at all sounds like a connection came loose and is touching something it shouldnt

Have you installed an aftermarket radio? There isn't any apparent connection between the factory radio and the wiper/washer on fuse #16.

Yes but you said it was somehow affecting the radio too. The factory radio isn't on 16 so it makes me suspicious of the installation of the replacement.

I just bought a 2002 Ranger XLT. The wipers worked when I did my walk around, but after I got home, they didn't work anymore. there was an after market radio installed, and I removed it, it appeared to be wired to the factory radio plug, nothing seemed out of the ordinary. Afterwards, i installed new wiper blades, and tested them, only to find the wipers no longer worked.
Checked the #16 fuse, it was good, and had voltage on both sides of it.
I'm not sure what the problem is yet, I will look into it more tomorrow and let you know what I find...

My cruise control is also not working... :-(
