Making new fuel lines, what quick connects go where?

Tried searching the forums but couldn’t find anything. Have an 03 edge 3.0 and had to replace the fuel pump. While replacing the fuel pump the quick connects (Or unions) broke from the 3/8 and 5/16 fittings running to the fuel filter. Tried to get new fuel lines from the local Ford dealership but they told me they are discontinued along with the quick connects (or unions). I don’t trust the dorman cut and splice repair kit. So now I’ve bought 10 ft of 5/16 nylon line and some Dorman unions. I noticed on the fuel filter that the previous owner must have broke the quick connects on that as well and rigged it with rubber fuel lines/clamps. Since I’m making new fuel lines, I lost track of what ends connect to what. Might be a stupid question but is the 3/8’s union fitting on the fuel pump side also the 3/8’s side on the fuel filter of that same line? (5/16 union from pump to 5/16 filter, etc). Any help is appreciated, I need to get this truck back on the road.

Edit: Nvm I figured it out. Mod can delete this thread.

Enlighten us

What did you find?

I think one hose was 3/8s on both ends and the other 5/16th on both ends

Yes both ends are the same (3/8ths with the 3/8ths, 5/16ths w/the 5/16ths). I was browsing through the forums again and eventually found a similar thread.
