Intermittent no start
Good morning all. I am having all sorts of problems with my Ranger. IT's a 2000 4cyl 2.5 auto. About a year ago, my truck would be a bit difficult and not start. I would turn the key and all of my instruments would light up and radio would work fine but I had absolutely no crank. I would wait 2 mins, then it would start. Problem went away on it's own. Fast forward to last month. Same thing. Except this time, when I waited a bit, it would not start at all. Replaced battery and was okay for a week or two. Tech at the shop I work out tested alternator battery and starter and said the alternator was not giving out the 13-14v. Replaced alternator. Worked for 3 days. Happened again. I thought it was a bad alternator, so I replaced it again. Lasted a week. Next in line was the starter. Replaced that. Keep in mind that the whole time I was getting a clicking from the relay. Truck fired first time. Wouldn't second time. Then replaced ignition switch. Worked for a month, now same thing. It has never happened while driving. Only when I shut truck off and attempt to restart it. Doesn't matter on length of trip. Doesn't matter how long between starts. It does it at the randomest (sic) of times. I'm sick of throwing parts at it. Anybody have and issues similar? Or have any suggestions as to what I should do now? Thanks.
