High Beam Questions
I just did a quick search and didn't find exactly what I was looking for. I have a 1995 Ranger, and I'm almost positive my issue is a result of a bad headlight switch but I want to check before I start taking the dash apart.
I just replaced my multi function switch on the truck because I had no high beams, signals or wipers. I put the switch in and got my wipers and signals back but my high beams still don't work.
If I pull the MFS towards me, the high beams will come on, but if I push the switch away from me to have the high beams stay on, they won't come on.
If the truck is turned off, and I turn the headlight switch to full on, all I get are my amber parking lights. If I start the truck up, I get my regular DRL's.
Is it a fair assumption that my headlight switch is bad and this could be why my high beams won't stay on when I push the MFS away from me?
All my fuses are good and the high beams function no problem when I pull the MFS stalk towards me.
thanks in advance
Andrew
