Fuel Filler Ground Strap Install

Are there standard procedures for installing the ground strap on a new fuel filler neck? Just removed the old rusted fuel filler and the ground strap had been attached much like a rivet would be formed. Looks like a hole had been punched and then the little metal points hammered down to hold the terminal onto the fuller neck. On the new filler neck there is not so much metal to work with. Using a small bolt and nut, I fear, would not leave enough room for the neck to seat where it needs to screw into the body. Any suggestions? This is for my new '99 ranger flareside, extended cab, 4WD.
Thanks

Can you use the screw for the body attachment?
What about a hose clamp?

Thanks. Can't see using a body attachment screw nor hose clamp. Considering brazing the terminal to its regular spot. Any more thoughts?

I assume this is a Step side so fiberglass issue.

Maybe hose clamp was the wrong term, copper pipe grounding clamp on vent tube would do it, I would remove a bit of paint install the clamp and repaint.

Home depot or other hardware store would have these, "hose clamp" style or rigid style.

Yes, brazing would work, I would solder a short wire lead on to the neck and then repaint.
Then use a wire connector for the ground wire

I ended up using a copper ground clamp...repainted and installed.
Easy job. Thanks again Ron. I appreciate the feedback.
